Live Like You’re God’s Favorite Child
There is a moment — usually small, usually ordinary — when everything shifts.
Maybe it’s a red light that makes you miss traffic. A cancelled plan that leads you somewhere better. A closed door that, months later, you’re grateful was closed.
Most people call it luck. Or coincidence. Or timing.
But what if it isn’t random at all?
What if it’s the natural result of how you’re moving through life — the identity you’re carrying, quietly, underneath everything you do?
Two Ways to Walk Through Life
Most people walk through their days bracing for impact. They expect disappointment before it arrives. They prepare for failure before they’ve even tried. They see uncertainty and feel danger.
It’s an exhausting way to live — constantly managing, controlling, surviving.
There is another way.
It begins with a single, radical belief: that you are deeply loved. That the Creator is not distant or indifferent, but actively working in your favor — even when you can’t see how. That His wisdom surrounds you, His mercy moves ahead of you, and His support is with you even in the moments you feel most alone.
When you carry this belief as your identity — not as a hopeful thought, but as a certainty — everything you interpret changes.
Every challenge becomes a hidden lesson.
Every delay becomes perfect timing.
Every closed door becomes loving redirection.
Every new beginning becomes an invitation to discover a blessing you couldn’t have seen coming.
Faith Is Not Passive
This is the part people misunderstand. Faith like this isn’t sitting back and hoping things work out. It’s not naive optimism.
It’s an active identity. A daily decision to interpret your life through trust instead of fear.
And it changes your behavior, not just your mood. You become more courageous, because you trust there’s unseen support beneath you. You take the bold step before you have the full plan, because you believe the next part of the path will reveal itself once you’re walking. You stop resisting change, because you’ve started to see it as the birthplace of everything good that’s ever happened to you.
You also stop postponing joy. You stop waiting for the promotion, the relationship, the “arrival” to finally let yourself feel alive. Instead, the ordinary becomes extraordinary — music in the car, the changing color of the sky, an unplanned conversation, a quiet evening. Even inconveniences start to feel like they’re part of something bigger.
The Kabbalistic View: You Are the Vessel
In Kabbalah, there’s a teaching that the Creator’s Light is infinite — endlessly abundant, endlessly wanting to give. The limitation was never on His side.
The limitation is in us — in our capacity to receive.
Faith, gratitude, trust, openness, joyful expectation — these aren’t just nice feelings. They are what expand the vessel. They are what allow more of the Light that was always available to actually reach you.
You don’t need to convince the universe to be generous. You need to become someone capable of receiving what it already wants to give.
How to Practice This
- Start each morning with one sentence. Before you check your phone, say — out loud or silently — “Today, the Creator is working in my favor.” Let it be the first thought, not the last.
- Reframe one frustration daily. When something goes wrong, pause and ask: “What if this is redirection, not punishment?” You don’t need the answer immediately. The question alone shifts you.
- Keep a “hidden blessings” list. At the end of each day, write down one thing that looked like a setback but wasn’t. Over weeks, this list becomes undeniable evidence — your own proof that you’re supported.
- Take one bold action you’ve been postponing. Not because you have the whole plan. Because you trust the next step will show itself once you move.
- Savor one ordinary moment fully. No phone, no distraction. Just presence. Let it remind you that life was never meant to be survived — it was meant to be witnessed.
If This Resonates
If you want a guide for going deeper into shifting your inner identity — from fear-based living to trust-based living — The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer is a beautiful companion to this lesson. It’s one of the books that shaped how I think about surrender and identity, and I’ve linked it on the Resources I Love page.
Closing
You were never meant to earn your way into being loved by the Creator.
You already are — favorite child, not because you’ve done everything right, but because that has always been His nature toward you.
Live like you know it. Watch how differently the world responds.
